This article, which appears in Halsbury's Law Exchange, is thoughtfully written.  It explores the origins of Lord Falconer's Assisted Dying Bill, which had its Second Reading in the House of Lords on 18 July and analyses its provisions.  The verdict: "regardless of whether the reader supports or opposes the general principle, the Assisted Dying Bill as currently drafted is unsatisfactory"
